Bias

Okay, So I am totally biased on these images. This is a set of three that contains a huge part of my heart. I really think the midwest has Flagstaff beat in the fall. But, like I said, I am a little biased!

Being there in the fall (Indiana, where I grew up) was wonderful. The air is cool and smells like dirt, and the winds rustle the leaves that are more vivid and colorful than you would expect. Corral, Orange, Red, Fuschia, deep purple, greens...it's just like heaven on earth.

And the river I grew up on is quietly sliding by with fog rolling off the top of it, just as the sun rises around the east bend. There's a stillness and peace from sitting there watching it all that creates in me the feeling that Kind David expresses with the word "selah" in the psalms. Rest, peace, stillness, pause. I could sit there for hours.

I used to have the dream that I would get married in the fall, ya know, like Julia Roberts did in Pretty Woman? On top of a hill in a big white dress amidst the rich colorful leaves...taking off on a horse... never mind that I'm allergic and don't know how to ride! I was so there....

So these pictures aren't stellar, but they're where I grew up. They hold a huge part of my heart. Home. Love it! Anyone else have a place like this for them? say a few comments below.
