It's that time of year, babies babies everywhere! What a fantastic time, and a beautiful type of portrait. Moms, if you ever get any portraits taken, make sure these are included! This time in life goes by so fast, and changes so quickly!
So what to expect for your next newborn/maternity session:
You'll have a great time. Lighten up, dress in what you feel good in, and include your hubby, kids, and pets for at least a couple full family shots.
Eat, snack, and doll up before your shoot. You'll share tidbits about your love together, and capture you at this rare time in life, in many locations.
For newborn shoots, expect things to surprise you. If they poo all over daddy as he holds them, it's normal. If they pee and it hits your face, your shirt, the blanket and the ceiling, don't tell me I didn't warn you. I know they can feed every 30 minutes, burp, poop. and not fall asleep just in time for the photos to start. Because newborns act the same, I know (and now, you do too!) that the session could be a quick hour, or it could take as long as 3. Naked pics are the sweetest, and when they're sleeping is usually the best time to get the best images. Through space heaters, warming pads, blankets, and GREAT patience on everyone's part, you can have a fantastic session!
I will be sharing some new ones on facebook soon. Weddings, newborns, and maternities are keepin' me busy right now! So if it's in the water...I 'm not drinkin' it yet :)
