One Small Step at a time!

Oh the dread...so when I stepped out of my former job, I vowed to never beat feet and greet at the doorsteps anymore...but the truth is, it really works. So after much agonizing, procrastination, and avoidance techniques, I grabbed myself by the neck like Jim Carrey in ...so many of his movies...and drug my biscuits out the door to meet people. It turns out, asking people to enjoy great photography with you, only needing their email address in return, is a LOT easier than asking people for personal information, financial information, and phone numbers...eesh. Today seemed like pie in the sky meeting folks compared to how it used to feel! I think I had the help of some angels on that one...

On another note, doors of great opportunity continue to open as I get further down the road with relationships I am building. That country club I mentioned awhile ago is filled with really neat, really beautiful people that God is granting me favor with. More on that as it develops later on. 

I am also very excited about the benefit I am organizing with the Taylor House, which is a beautiful facility that cancer patient's families can stay in while they're visiting, next to the hospital. We are doing  a $50 family or couples, or pets, or children's, or whatever photo, that gets you an 8x10 print and the file to keep for yourself. 40% of the contribution go to the Taylor House, the remainder goes to cover the cost of the shoot itself. We are planning it outdoors at a public location towards the beginning (hopefully!) of June. Join our email list and Facebook page to get notified on the official details. It'll be great!

Lastly, I am finalizing (hopefully tomorrow..I have been waiting on some items to arrive from my lab) the presentation package that is being sent to two large companies, in the hopes of coordinating a travel-portrait photography relationship. We shall see!
